Polyamide Resin
Along with our wide spectrum of products overall, our Nylon 6 and 66 product ranges are also spread across all applications possible. With our suppliers being fully integrated backwards, we always have good volumes at most competitive prices and payment terms. Our technical proficiency and customer-driven approach enable us to meet critical performance and processing needs across applications. Our offerings include caprolactam flakes, Nylon 6 Resin prime as well near-prime, Nylon 66 resin, Cyclohexanone and MEKO.
Caprolactam: Caprolactam is the raw material for Nylon 6 resin and fiber. We always have stock of excellent quality caprolactam flakes, which are available in 25 kg bags. We also have a large inventory of the material in our warehouses.
Nylon 6, 6 (Polyamide 6,6): Its features comprise high tensile strength, abrasion resistance, impact resistance, and unaffected by oils, solvents and chemicals, as well as low coefficient of friction and self-lubricating properties. Applications include the automotive industry, electronics, instrumentation, machinery, home appliances, oil pipe, precision engineering products, textile, etc. It can also can be used for sporting goods, medical equipment and many other daily necessities.
Cyclohexanone: Cyclohexanone is still primarily used as a raw material for caprolactam, and secondarily as a solvent. Caprolactam forms the raw material for textile nylon.
MEKO: MEKO is used as an anti-skinning agent for oil and latex paints and coatings. It is regularly used as an isocyanate-blocking agent in priming automobiles (electrodeposition coating) for paint jobs and as a curing agent for silicon rubber due to its outstanding water and heat resistance.
Nylon 6 Resin: Our suppliers are completely backward integrated, supporting a robust supply chain and in turn, a reliable and uninterrupted supply. Additionally, we take pride in providing exceptional quality resin.
While we focus mainly on prime grade chips we also supply superior quality near-prime chips. Ranging from RV 2.4 to 4, we cater the vast range for applications as below:
- Carpet: Carpet fiber made from our grades of Nylon 6 resin is durable, resilient and colourfast. This offers the carpet manufacturer a great range of colours and design options. Carpets made with Nylon 6 also resist abrasion, wear, crushing and matting, granting long-lasting performance to the end product.
- Engineering Plastics: Exhibiting excellent molding and extrusion characteristics, making them the resin of choice in a variety of plastics applications – from automotive parts to electronics and shoes. Nylon 6 engineering plastic resins exhibit good strength, stiffness and toughness as well as excellent heat, chemical and abrasion resistance.
- Fishing net: Ideal choice of material for fishing line and fishnet filament applications. Fish lines and nets made with Nylon 6 resin exhibit important properties – tenacity, elongation and transparency – that enable fishermen to catch more fish.
- Packaging: Resins to be converted into rigid, flexible and retort packaging materials for use in a variety of challenging food packaging applications.
- Wire and cable: Wire and cable grades are capable of providing outstanding protection in challenging building wire and armoured cable applications, from residential and commercial construction to industrial power, automotive and more. Our grades of nylon jacket compounds offer the quality and capability to resist physical and chemical damage during installation and throughout the service life of a wire and are formulated to deliver excellent processability for any manufacturing line.
